The wood is easy to machine, carve, turn and sand. It holds nails, screws and glue well. Tulipwood accepts paint, stain and finishes well, making it suitable for a wide range of traditional and contemporary applications.

Origin
Tulipwood refers to the wood from the Yellow Poplar tree native to the Eastern United States. The flowers of this tree look similar to tulips, hence the name.
